About the event

Hello there ! Join me every Tuesday at 6pm - weather permitting - in Victoria park West for a 60min Hatha yoga practice.

The class will be an all level Hatha practice, during which we will hold the poses a little longer than in a Vinyasa class. We will explore the breath and connection with the body through different shapes (Asanas). This mindful practice will help you to stay grounded, calm your nervous system and recover a sense of ease. We will also build strength and resilience in the body and mind.

Everyone is welcome regardless of experience, age or physical ability. Options will be given for all practitioners to have an enjoyable practice. The main goal of this class is not to achieve yoga postures but to be present while getting there, to connect body / mind / spirit, as well as connect with others and nature.

Please arrive 10min before the starting time to set up. It is recommended not to have a heavy meal at least 1h before the class.

Details:

  • Tuesdays 6-7pm
  • Victoria Park in North Vancouver, on the West side (look for someone with a yoga mat!)
  • Bring a yoga mat or towel, a water bottle, and any props that you'd like to use
  • Dress for the weather
  • $20 drop in / $100 for a 6 classes pass.

In case of rain and impossibility to practice outdoor: I will have a room in Lower Lonsdale and send you details via email on how to get there.

About the facilitator:

Alexandra is the founder of Grounded Path Yoga & Wellness. She is a Yoga teacher, Reiki therapist, and Ayurvedic massages therapist. But most of all she is a student of Life, striving to apply healthy routines, and be of service to others. Through her practice - her Sadhana -, she works towards spiritual alignment and promotes well-being in order to keep the mind, body and spirit healthy.

Alexandra moved to Canada in September 2020 and recently relocated to North Vancouver. Practicing yoga has shined a light on many areas of her life; she feels more connected to her Truth, more in line with herself. She wants to share this practice and help you find your way.

She teaches Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin classes. In her classes she will focus on grounding by cultivating presence, connecting to your breath and finding ways to help you unite with yourself
